Marland J. Turner (1945 - 2008)

Marland Judson Turner
(March 13, 1945 - June 15, 2008)

He was born March 13, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska, a son of Weldon Harris and Ione Elaine Parmely Turner.  Marland lived in the Ogden area for most of his life.

He was an active member of the Presbyterian Church.

Marland worked as a custodian at Bonneville High School and was Bonneville's "Biggest Fan" for over 40 years.  He had a nearly spotless attendance record for school activities and sports.

In 2002, Marland was nominated and was able to run with the Olympic torch for the Salt Lakc City Winter Games.  Marland was loved by many and will be missed.

Surviving is his sister, Sandra, of Ogden.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Joy.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends May call at the mortuary on Monday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial PArk, 4500 Washington Blvd.

Daniel J. Perry (1979 - 2008)

Daniel James Perry
(January 6, 1979 - June 4, 2008)

Daniel James Perry was killed in an auto accident on Wednesday, June 4, 2008.  Daniel was born on January 6, 1979 to Anne Lindquist and Darren Perry.  He was raised and schooled in South Ogden.  

He married the love of his life, and his best friend, Sarah Woodward on May 14, 1999.  On June 26, 2006 their son Ethan was born. Being a dad to Ethan, was Daniel's greatest joy in life He often commented that being a dad was the greatest thing that ever happened to him.

Daniel graduated in May from Weber State University with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He was employed at Trinity Industries.  He loved to work with his hands Fabrication was his job as well as a hobby.

Daniel loved spending time in the mountains with his family and buildings a cabin was one of his major goals after he completed his degree.

He was a man whose personal conduct was not decided by religion or law.  He had an internal moral compass that guided him in all he did.  His personal integrity and sense of humor allowed him to point out and laugh at his own flaws, which led to Daniel being called "best friend" by many.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Sarah and his son, Ethan Daniel, his mother, Ann Lindquiest, one brother, Ian Perry, his cousin Mario Soto, who was just like a brother to him.  Also surviving are several cousins, aunts, and uncles and one nephew, Samuel Perry.
 
He was preceded in death by an uncle, Daniel Lindquist and his lifelong friend, Michael West.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 880 - 28th Street, Ogden.

Family and friends may call Monday, June 9, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.  Interment at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

Courtney J. Florence (1978 - 2004)

OGDEN - Courtney Joseph Florence, "White Shoes", our son, brother and most of all our best friend left us on August 20, 2004 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Courtney was born on September 30, 1978 to Brad and HoneyBee Florence.

Courtney attended Weber County Schools and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1997 and later graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Business Marketing in 2003. Courtney was a marketing representative and was very successful due to his infectious personality. Everyone that met Court was touched by his warm smile and loving hear. Court loved to play sports and was very successful over the years. At five, Court was ranked number one in the state while racing motorcycles. For several years Court couldn't be beat. At the age of seven, court lost his brother Mckade Brenchley and since Court loved to give him rides on his motorcycle, Court lost his love to ride. Court played and loved all sports, especially golf and basketball. Court amazed many with his long drive and his ability to shoot he three.

Court deeply loved his brothers and sisters. He was an awsesome big brother and hero to them all Court had a great friend Dusty, for which we will be forever grateful.

Corts parents are HoneyBee and Chris Brenchley and Mellyn and Brad Florence. He had 8 borthers and sisters, Aspen (Kimo), Ciara, Cassidy, Colt, BJ (Jaci), Garrett and Dallas. He was preceded in death by his brother, McKade.

Court you have forever changed our lives and will be missed every minute of every day. We love you.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Weber Stake Center, 5855 S. Skyling Dr., Ogden,. Family and friends may call at the Stake Center Tuesday from 10:45 a.. to 12:45 p.m. prior to sevice.

Interment in the Ogden Ciety Cemetery.

Services under direction fo Myer's Mortuary of Ogden.

In lieu of flowers, cotnributions will be accepted at any branch of Zions Bank as a Memorial Scholarship Fund in the name of Courtney Florence.
